She's no Fink

San Francisco Designer

This coat was featured in Amy's
Senior Collection at the
Academy of Art University where Amy earned her
Masters of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design.

Fabric enthusiasts know this as shibori, a japanese  shrinking technique, that is so fun to incorporate in your knitting/felting projects.  It adds a dimension to your fabric while felting over beads, stones, or other non-feltable fabrics.  Amy created this by shrinking her fabric with beads incorporated and then, after removing the beads, applying the "bubbled" fabric to the coat. She used nearly 8 yards of wool and one month to create this adorable coat.
