THE RUG!
At first, I thought this was a throw.
So I clicked through thinking, "I wanna make that!"
(as usual)

But shazam!
OH MY GOODNESS!
I'm blown away!
When you see the size of this thing... no words!

But I still want a throw size blanket and I will have one!
Just you wait and see...

Insta - Crush !

I am totally smitten with these little
Simone Ceramique "Love Houses" for votive candles
made in Israel from LINEN & MILK!
Each house is different and signed by the artist.
I ran across them on INSTAGRAM somehow
and went down the rabbit hole of following links.
They are adorable and I want every single one!
The little laundry house kills me!

Get Outta Town !

I've always been obsessed with this
little monkey image and did not realize that
IOMOI had a rewards program!

I'm in need of a new carry on tote and went online to see how much the extra large tote might be and finally get something with these sweet little guys. Well, low and behold, they have an "invite a friend to join" deal and you know how I love that. SO... use my LINK and let's order some cute stuff!!!

Rattles My Bones !

She needs a good soak and block, but
I love my new sweater!
It's super bulky 100% highland wool yarn on size 15s,
so it's going to have to get pretty darn cold to
enjoy more than just looking at it!

Casting on the baby version!

The Reason For The Season . . .

{there's an adorable Christmas video here, so if you're an email
subscriber, visit the blog cuz you might miss it if you don't}

This is truly priceless!
Merry Christmas!

While I'm out wading through the mall, pushing through the traffic and
rolling my eyes at rude impatient people, I'm just going to come
right back here and watch this a million times!

Rediculously Cool !

Ok, I know I have all I really need,
so I always say, "If I can't make it, I don't really need it."
because I NEED to make stuff.

I'm loving these paint rollers from

VERY COOL!

Under the Spell !

There is something about Summer that brings out the Hippie Girl in me!
So every year on the 20th or the 21st of June,
(PrettyStuff and I just learned that the day switches!)
drag out my long flowy linen skirt, my favorite ragged jeans,
my favorite giant linen overalls and lots of old jewelry.

This year,
I'm a wee bit smitten with
If it would not cost me $40 bucks in shipping
to get these leggings in my mailbox,
they would be
MINE!

...MINE...

...MINE...

...MINE...
!I tell ya!

My mom just sent me an adorable bohemianish dress
and I think these need to be under it!
Should I do it?

(or stay married - handyhusband would freak over the shipping!)

I'll let you know if I cave!
In the meantime, I hope this first day of Summer
finds you under a wonderful spell as well.
And if you spy any amazing leggings
that won't cost me my legs to get them here,
please comment with a link, please!

It's a NEED and a WANT!

All of these images are from SPELL & THE GYPSY COLLECTIVE.
You can also find them on
Follow them
In any way that suits you,
but expect it to bring out your flower child.
...PEACE  Y'ALL...

Instagram @ Work !

I took a few minutes at the end of the day to play with Instagram!
I snapped lots of my favorite things @ WORK.
If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you've already seen these,
so b'bye, but if not...

I LOVE THIS DRUM!
It would make a great gift for BeatDropping
but not sure how it would fair in a dorm room...
(note to self: buy now, save for later : )

I've been batting my eyelashes at HandyHusband to get him
to convert the armoire in the family room into a bar.
If I succeed, I believe I'll have to bring home a decanter or two...or three.
This bamboo chest really needs to live in my guestroom and since I
slip-covered those dining chairs, well, I think they should live with me too.
Anne and I put the same fabric on that lovely bench and I've
always wanted an old bottle tree!

That insanely beautiful secretary has a nickname...Harry Potter.
It's beautiful. The green bullseye glass in the doors is so unique.
When I finish the family room details, I think I'll be sneaking the
Staffordshire Poodles onto the mantel and adding to my
clock face collection.
The porcelain tureen is part of a pretty big collection.
I want it all, but I'm willing to share it with PrettyStuff!

Need vs. Want
Always an issue around here!
Zebra figurines: WANT, Garden Stool: NEED,
Oyster Plates: WANT, Ladder Shelf: NEED,
Green Confit Pot: WANT

We have a pair of these Imari fish and they are KILLER!
As hot as orange is these days, I honestly can't believe they lasted
more than a day in the shop...think Aqua beach house with orange
Hermes blanket on the sofa and those fish on your coffee table!
I adore this roof tile lamp and the book lamp is a great guy gift!
Anne and I fight over that bamboo table and our newest treasure
is this incredible late 18th century needlepoint barley twist chair!

Bookcase Style . . .

Vintage Books

My bookshelves are bursting but I can’t resist buying more books — especially old vintage fashion and design books. -Habitually Chic

Thanks for letting me your featured contributor for February!  It was a fun month!
{image: Habitually Chic}

I love the color coordination in this bookcase!
And love the little mirror hanging from the shelf.
HandyHusband and I have a little obsession with mirrors.
I've got a few little ones...
I think I should take them off the wall
and put them on a bookcase.

Right after I saw this picture today on Design Darling,
I got the itch for some new books with great spines.
Then, I went rummaging through my Crush Cul de Sac Archives...

or propping them up on your desk with memories,
I can't think of any interior accessory that
expresses your personality more.

I am thoroughly depressed now.
I need a b'zillion books to stuff, turn backwards, stack, and cover...
I think I need some fun new bookcase clutter & shine too!

While I was pouting over the beautiful stacked books,
I found these sparkly things in Design Darling's online Boutique.
Love the lacquer tray, quartz bookends, votive,
and the amethyst rock is calling my name!

I think I've created a weekend of moving stuff around.
How about you? Gonna shuffle your stuff?
I can't leave a bookcase post without this image.
If you don't have one, paint one.
